First Regional Students' Scientific Conference in GEORGIA





Caucasus University www.cu.edu.ge held the First Regional Students’ Scientific Conference “Development Perspectives of South Caucasus Region” on 3rd of May at Bazaleti Lake.

Students of 3 Caucasian countries - Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan – were participants of the conference, working in 2 sections - “Economy of the Countries of South Caucasus and Building Modern State” and “Building Legal State”.

The conference was sponsored by Pepsi www.pepsi.ge and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung www.fes.ge held in Bazaleti Tourist Complex www.bazaletilake.ge









The section “Economy of the Countries of South Caucasus and Building Modern State” was presented by the following papers:

1) “Wine Tourism development Strategies, weaknesses and strengthens of Georgia as a Wine Region” by Ana Khitarishvili (Georgia)
2) “Nanotechnology: A Perspective of Georgian Economic development by Irakli Vekua (Georgia)
3) “Regional integration of financial market as a factor of long-run economic growth” by Ashot Yengibaryan (Armenia)
4) “Education as the factor of integration of Armenia in the All-European Economic space” by Larisa Avetisiyan (Armenia)
5) “Analysis of Consumer Sentiment Index for Azerbaijan” by Ahad Aliyev (Azerbaijan)
6) “Global Information Society, Digital Divide and Digital Opportunities of South Caucasus Region” by Mariam Sulaberidze (Georgia)
7) “Georgian Innovation Opportunities” by Lasha Machavariani (Georgia)
8) Monopolization and Corruption As Hinders For the Prosperous Development of the South- Caucasian Region by Armine Siruyan






The section ” Building Legal State” was presented by the following papers:

1) “Computer Crime” by Levan Kavtaradze (Georgia)
2) “Veil of Incorporation” by Salome Sartania (Georgia)
3) “Role of courts in formation of a lawful state” by Avtandil Avetisyan
4) “Some Issues of Improvement of Legal Bases of Tax System” by Avtandil Chelidze
5) “Guarantees of Independence of Control Bodies” by Ana Sabakhtarishvili
6) “Delineation of Administrative (public) Control from Civil (private) Contract” by Ann Uberi
7) “South Caucasus– European organizations. Modern challenges, real interests” by Armen Hovhannisyan
8) “State and Democracy” by Tatia Uberi
9) “Reasons and factors impeding the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict process” by Rozalya Shaibekiyan
10) “Tax liability” by Natalia Kokolashvili



Best 3 papers were awarded by jury in each section.
